A forest ranger in Kujawsko‑Pomorskie discovered a dead bulldog or mops concealed among garbage in a remote forest, wrapped in a plastic bag and tied with cords around its paws. Initial reports suggested deliberate killing, but later checks ruled out intentional wounds, indicating the restraints may have been part of a medical procedure.
Dead Dog in Forest Trash
The forest ranger of the Bedlenki forestry office stumbled upon scattered rubbish during a patrol. Inside the trash, he found a deceased dog, wrapped in a plastic bag and tied with cords around its paws. Early statements alleged deliberate killing, citing cuts and the bag. The dog was identified as either a bulldog or a mops.
Subsequent clarification from the forestry office stated that the reported cuts were unconfirmed, and the bindings on the paws might have been related to a prior medical treatment for the animal.
Police Response
The police received the report and urged the public to recognize any distinctive items in the rubbish that could help identify the responsible individual. The Forestry Guard transferred the case to the police, who now lead the investigation. A veterinary expert has been appointed to determine the circumstances of the dog’s death.
