Nawrocki Leads, Tusk Plummets in Polish Political Poll

A March poll in Poland shows President Karol Nawrocki with the highest approval rating, while Prime Minister Donald Tusk experiences a significant decline.

Karol Nawrocki: Highest Approval Rating

Fifty percent of respondents positively assess the work of President Karol Nawrocki, while 46 percent view it negatively, according to a March IBRiS poll for PAP.

In March, 50 percent of those surveyed rated President Karol Nawrocki’s performance positively, with 24 percent thinking his work is “definitely good.” This represents a 3 percentage point decrease compared to February’s poll and a 2 percentage point increase compared to January’s Institute study.

Forty-six percent of respondents expressed negative opinions about the President’s work, with nearly 28 percent rating his performance as “definitely bad.” Four percent of respondents chose the answer “don’t know/hard to say.”

Donald Tusk: Record Decline in Approval

The Prime Minister is experiencing a decline in positive ratings for the second consecutive month, according to the poll, and has the highest level of negative assessments.

Thirty-seven percent of respondents positively assessed Donald Tusk’s work in March, with 13 percent expressing a “definitely good” opinion. This is a 1 percentage point decrease from February and a 5 percentage point decrease from January.

Fifty-seven percent of respondents expressed a negative opinion of Tusk’s performance (35 percent chose the answer “definitely bad”). Six percent of respondents chose “don’t know/hard to say.”

Włodzimierz Czarzasty: Improving Ratings

IBRiS also asked respondents to assess the work of Włodzimierz Czarzasty, who improved his ratings in March.

Forty-two percent of respondents expressed a positive opinion of his work (with 28 percent rating him “rather good”), representing a 6 percentage point increase compared to February and a 2 percentage point increase compared to January.

Fifty percent of respondents have a negative opinion of Czarzasty’s performance, with 35 percent rating him “definitely bad.” Eight percent of respondents chose “don’t know/hard to say.” Czarzasty is the only one of the three politicians to improve his positive balance in March compared to the previous month and the beginning of the surveyed period.

Poll Methodology

The survey was conducted from March 27 to March 28, 2026, using the CATI method on a sample of 1067 adult Poles.
