The city of Bytom has launched a support program to significantly improve the appearance and functionality of many gardens. The program offers financial support to gardening associations in the form of targeted grants.
This year’s edition of the program offers up to zł50,000 per project, though certain restrictions apply.
Investment Beyond Infrastructure
Funding can also be used for communal areas within the allotment gardens, including allotment houses. These investments aim to improve not only the appearance of the gardens but also to foster social connections and community engagement.
20% Own Contribution Required
Allotment gardeners must contribute to the costs of the investment. The program stipulates that the city will cover a maximum of 80% of the investment costs, while the association must provide the remaining 20%.
This model is intended to ensure real commitment and thoughtful project planning, meaning only the best-prepared applications are likely to be approved.
