Warsaw police in Bemowo district swiftly apprehended two suspects following a robbery where a machete was used against the victim.
Robbery and Assault Details
Police responded to a reported assault at a Warsaw apartment several days ago. The victim was threatened with a machete, robbed of items valued at approximately 11,000 złoty (including a jacket, shoes, headphones, and perfume), and forced to kneel and utter humiliating words.
During the robbery, the victim attempted to recover stolen items, at which point the perpetrators deployed pepper spray and fled the scene.
Immediate Apprehension and Evidence
Police immediately launched a search for the suspects. A machete discarded by one of the perpetrators was recovered at the scene. The first suspect, a 19-year-old, was arrested shortly after, wearing the victim’s jacket and shoes and carrying the victim’s public transport card.
A second suspect, aged 23, was also apprehended. A search of his apartment revealed additional stolen items, as well as several grams of mephedrone hidden in a bathroom ventilation shaft.
Charges and Restrictions
Both suspects have been charged with robbery using a dangerous weapon, a crime punishable by 3 to 20 years imprisonment. The 23-year-old faces additional charges related to drug possession.
Under the direction of the prosecutor, both suspects have been placed under police supervision and are prohibited from contacting or approaching the victim.

The investigation is being conducted under the supervision of the Warsaw-Wola District Prosecutor’s Office.
