Warsaw police detained three men, aged 18, 27, and 35, for allegedly attacking a 15-year-old fan and marking him with a rival team’s symbol.
Attack and Initial Investigation
Warsaw city center police responded to reports of a brutal attack on a 15-year-old boy. Investigators determined that the suspects targeted a group of young fans of a rival team near a stadium, initially pursuing them in a car before continuing on foot.
The victim was physically assaulted – shoved, kicked, and knocked to the ground – before the assailants spray-painted the letter “L” onto his body and clothing and stole his backpack. The teen sustained minor injuries.
Arrests and Charges
Police quickly arrested the first suspect, followed by a second. Both face charges of robbery, theft, and concealing documents, potentially facing up to 15 years in prison.
A third suspect, aged 35, was later apprehended and charged with robbery. He has been placed under police supervision and ordered to pay a bail of 40,000 Polish złoty.
Court Decisions and Suspect Backgrounds
The court ordered the 27-year-old and 18-year-old suspects to be held in temporary arrest for three months. The older suspect has a prior criminal record for offenses against health and property, while the younger suspect has no prior convictions. Both are Polish citizens.
Ongoing Investigation
The investigation is being supervised by the Warsaw Śródmieście-Północ District Prosecutor’s Office. Police conducted extensive investigative work, including interviewing the victim, witnesses, and gathering evidence.
