Former U.S. President Donald Trump recounted that his mother would watch Queen Elizabeth’s ceremonies and remark, “Look at how beautiful it is, Donald.” He shared this memory during a speech on Tuesday, April 28th, in the presence of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
Trump also stated his mother “had a little crush” on King Charles, recalling her saying, “Look at young Charles, he’s so sweet.”
Who Was Donald Trump’s Mother?
Mary Anne Trump, née MacLeod, was born in Scotland. She emigrated to the United States in 1930 at the age of 18. Upon arriving in the U.S., she worked as a maid.
She later married businessman Frederick Trump and engaged in social and philanthropic activities. She passed away in 2000 at the age of 88.

King Charles to Address Congress
The British royal couple began a four-day visit to the U.S. on Monday, marking King Charles’s first visit to the United States as monarch, coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the nation’s founding.
On Monday, President and First Lady Melania Trump hosted Charles and Camilla for tea and a tour of the presidential residence’s apiary. Last week, the First Lady unveiled a miniature White House replica. King Charles is scheduled to address a joint session of Congress on Tuesday.
