On Friday, May 22, at 11:04 AM, a serious three-car collision involving a Nissan, Toyota, and Volkswagen occurred at the intersection of Pulawska and Baletowa streets, resulting in one hospitalization.
Sequence of the Incident
Preliminary findings suggest the driver of a Nissan, heading toward Piaseczno, was stopped at a red light on Pulawska Street. Simultaneously, a Volkswagen exited Baletowa Street on a green light, attempting to turn toward Warsaw city center.
Authorities report that a Toyota traveling from Piaseczno entered the intersection against a red signal. The Toyota struck the Volkswagen, hit traffic infrastructure, and then collided head-on with the stationary Nissan.
Emergency Response and Traffic Impact
Fire crews, police, and a medical helicopter were deployed to secure the scene and assist the participants. The driver of the Toyota was transported to the hospital following initial medical care.
Traffic on Pulawska Street was temporarily halted to allow for rescue operations. While movement toward Warsaw city center resumed after the helicopter departed, two lanes toward Piaseczno remain blocked.
Current Investigation Status
Police are currently working at the scene to determine the exact circumstances of the crash. Official checks confirmed that all drivers involved were sober and held valid driving licenses.
