Kaczyński, Rozwój Plus, and Morawiecki: Assessing the Former PM’s Future

With speculation mounting over Mateusz Morawiecki’s political future and his association “Rozwój Plus,” we surveyed our readers on whether the former prime minister should establish his own political party.

Poll Results: Public Skepticism Toward a New Party

In our survey, the majority of respondents rejected the idea of Mateusz Morawiecki forming a new party. A total of 72.92 percent of participants expressed a negative view, with 40.54 percent choosing “definitely not” and 32.38 percent selecting “rather not.”

Only 279 out of 1,544 participants favored the move, with 18.07 percent voting “definitely yes” and 5.18 percent choosing “rather yes.” A small group of 3.82 percent remained undecided. The data was collected on June 2, 2026.

Rozwój Plus Faces Scrutiny Within PiS

The “Rozwój Plus” association, launched by Morawiecki in April 2026, has become a focal point of internal debate. While presented as an expert think tank for the right-wing, some within PiS fear it could evolve into a parallel power center.

Jacek Ozdoba stated that party leader Jarosław Kaczyński prefers to “freeze” rather than dissolve such associations. According to Ozdoba, additional organizations are acceptable only if they do not compete with the party structure, adding that he believes activists should focus their efforts on Law and Justice itself.
