Russian Drone Crashes into Lublin Couple’s House, Family Avoids Disaster by Seconds

A Russian drone that violated Polish airspace crashed into a residential building in Wyryki, damaging the house and narrowly avoiding a tragedy when the family was downstairs drinking tea at the time.

Drone Causes Significant Damage

The drone crashed into the house, severely damaging the roof and walls. The rooms were filled with debris, and a nearby car was also damaged. The owner of the adjacent property stated, “This house was a long-standing family home. Now, they’ve lost it.

Residents Discuss the Close Call

One resident reportedly spilled her hot tea in fear when she heard the drone approach. “I was terrified, and I just cowered in the corner,” she said. Another neighbor emphasized, “I called my husband in tears because I didn’t know what had happened—it sounded like it was right next to us.”

Reaction and Relief

The mayor of Wyryki, Bernard Błaszczuk, expressed the family’s devastation, stating, “They are heartbroken because this house was their life’s savings.” However, the residents also expressed relief at having avoided the potential disaster.
