Bielany scouts arrested a 32-year-old man on Wolumen Street after discovering cocaine in his pocket and marijuana in his residence, leading to formal charges and a potential three-year prison sentence.
The Arrest on Wolumen Street
Bielany police scouts patrolling the Wolumen Street area observed a young man who appeared visibly agitated upon seeing officers. A subsequent inspection revealed the individual was carrying aluminum foil containing a white powder.
The man, aged 32, was taken into custody and transported to the District Police Headquarters on Żeromski Street. Laboratory tests later confirmed the substance was cocaine.
Seizure of Marijuana and Formal Charges
Following the initial arrest, officers conducted a search of the suspect’s apartment on the same day. They discovered a plastic container filled with dried plant material, which was seized as evidence.
Subsequent testing confirmed the presence of marijuana. The suspect has been formally charged with the possession of narcotic substances, a crime punishable by up to three years of imprisonment.
Legal Proceedings
The case is now being processed for court proceedings. The District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw-Żoliborz is currently overseeing the investigation into the matter.
