Drones Strike Russian Port, Refinery, and Chemical Plant in Series of Attacks

Ukrainian drones hit Russia’s Taman port, Samara refinery, and Stavropol’s Azot chemical plant between 4–5 December, igniting fires and damaging infrastructure.

Taman Port attack engulfs fuel tanks

On the night of 4–5 December, Ukrainian drones struck the port of Taman in Krasnodar Krai, damaging port infrastructure. The explosions ignited fuel tanks on the quay, setting large fires. The port handles vessels transporting Russian energy raw materials.

Samara refinery suffers drone assault

During the same night, UAVs attacked a refinery in the Samara region, eliciting at least seven explosions. The refinery was set on fire, and its facilities had already faced previous drone attacks.

Azot chemical plant in Stavropol hit by drones

Ukrainian forces reported an assault on the Azot chemical plant in Stavropol on Thursday evening. Drones struck the complex, causing a fire. Azot produces components for explosive materials and is among Russia’s largest such plants.
