Drugs Found in Home Safe Instead of Valuables

Police in Otwock, Poland, arrested a 38-year-old man after discovering a significant quantity of narcotics stored in his home safe.

Officers from the Patrol and Intervention Unit of the Otwock County Police Department successfully disrupted local drug trafficking thanks to excellent reconnaissance and operational work.

The 38-year-old suspect is now in custody for three months following a request from the Otwock District Prosecutor’s Office.

Police Investigation and Discovery

Acting on information regarding drug activity at a property in Otwock, patrol officers identified a target location and initiated a search, supported by the Criminal Department and a drug-sniffing dog.

During the search, officers discovered a safe containing 125g of marijuana, 97g of mephedrone, 17.5g of hashish, and 7g of MDMA – all portioned and ready for sale.

Charges and Precautionary Measures

The suspect was taken into police custody, and the evidence was presented to the Otwock District Prosecutor’s Office, which launched an investigation.

He faces charges related to trafficking a significant amount of narcotics for financial gain, carrying a potential sentence of up to 12 years in prison.

The Otwock District Court has ordered the suspect to be held in temporary arrest for three months, at the prosecutor’s request.

Authorities emphasize the severe health risks associated with drug use, including irreversible damage to the body and potential fatal overdoses.
