12,000 PLN Monthly Salary and 8-to-4 Working Hours: A Polish Employer Hires Mechanics Regardless of Degree

A Gdansk employer is offering up to 12,000 PLN gross per month for car mechanics with fixed hours and no degree requirement, with recruitment running until September 7, 2026.

Salary Depends on Experience and Competence

The job posting specifies a salary ranging from 7,000 to 12,000 PLN gross per month. The final amount is not uniform for all employees, as it is determined individually based primarily on the candidate’s skills and experience.

A mechanic meeting only basic requirements may not receive 12,000 PLN gross. Better candidates with greater experience who can independently diagnose complex failures and know Stellantis group vehicles have higher chances for the top bracket, alongside potential performance bonuses.

Fixed Working Hours and Single Shift

The offer entails full-time employment on a single shift from Monday to Friday, meaning standard duties are not performed on Saturdays and Sundays. The employer also mentions flexible working hours and a fixed-term employment contract.

Formal Education Is Irrelevant, Practical Skills Matter

The employer does not require higher education, indicating vocational schooling as the desired educational background. Candidates must have a minimum of six months of experience in independent mechanic work and knowledge of vehicles from brands such as Peugeot, Citroën, Fiat, and Opel.

Modern Mechanics Require Computer Diagnostics

Today’s automotive specialists must use diagnostic computers, analyze vehicle operating parameters, and utilize technical documentation alongside traditional repairs. Duties span from computer diagnostics to suspension repairs, brake work, and fundamental maintenance like oil and filter changes.

Training Support and Application Deadline

The employer provides technical training, course co-funding, and opportunities to gain additional qualifications. Recruitment is currently underway, remains open until September 7, 2026, and accepts CVs submitted electronically from both unemployed individuals and those currently working.
