6-Year-Old Cyclist Hospitalized After Colliding With Bus in Żabia Wola

A six-year-old child riding a bicycle was airlifted to a hospital on Monday afternoon after colliding with the side of a bus on Główna Street in Żabia Wola.

Collision Incident Details

On Monday at 2:17 PM, a serious traffic accident occurred on Główna Street in the Grodzisk district involving a bus and a 6-year-old child. Emergency services, including the fire department, medical rescue teams, police, and a helicopter from the Air Ambulance Service (LPR), were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Preliminary findings indicate the child was on the sidewalk accompanied by a parent. The 6-year-old reportedly turned suddenly and struck the side of a bus that was pulling into a stop.

Emergency Response and Medical Transport

The LPR helicopter, Ratownik 12, was deployed to the scene. The child remained conscious and was airlifted to a hospital for further medical care. Notably, the child was wearing a protective helmet at the time of the impact, which sustained significant damage during the collision.

Ongoing Investigation

Police confirmed that both the child’s parent and the bus driver were sober. Officers are currently investigating the precise circumstances of the incident, including how the collision occurred and whether it could have been prevented. Traffic in the area of Główna Street remains disrupted.
