Trump Threatens Iran With Further Attacks: “We Will Destroy Them”

Following a series of retaliatory strikes on Iranian targets, U.S. President Donald Trump warned that further military action is possible if Iran continues to violate international agreements and maritime navigation.

Trump’s Stern Warning

During a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky, Donald Trump issued a warning to Iran, stating that while they intend to strike hard, the situation remains fluid. Trump accused Iranian officials of negotiating in bad faith by publicly denying agreements reached during private discussions.

Maritime Blockade Under Consideration

The U.S. President is weighing the reimposition of a maritime blockade against Iran. Trump noted that U.S. forces are currently utilizing advanced weaponry to neutralize Iranian small boats, comparing the tactical approach to past operations against drug cartels.

Collapse of the Truce

Speaking separately with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, Trump declared the ceasefire with Iran effectively over. He described the Iranian leadership in harsh terms, labeling them as deceptive and brutal, while U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth signaled that the Pentagon is prepared to intensify attacks if authorized.

Military Response to Maritime Aggression

CENTCOM reported that U.S. forces struck over 80 targets in Iran, including air defense systems, command networks, and radar stations, in response to attacks on three commercial vessels. Additionally, the operation destroyed more than 60 small boats belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Iranian Retaliation Threats

Tehran responded by warning that any further U.S. strikes would face a “crushing” response. Iranian military command reiterated its position that it will not permit foreign interference in the management of the Strait of Hormuz.
