Łukasz Żak received a 20-year prison sentence, matching the prosecutor’s request for the fatal accident. Judge Maciej Mitera stated during the sentencing that Żak’s actions amounted to reckless behavior that led directly to catastrophe.
Details of the September 2024 Tragedy
The crash occurred in Warsaw when the Volkswagen Arteon driven by Żak collided with a Ford carrying a family of four. The accident resulted in the death of a 37-year-old man and left his wife and two children hospitalized.
