Assault on a Ukrainian minor
Local television station WTK reported an incident where several intoxicated men harassed a Ukrainian boy on a tram. As the boy exited, one of the men struck him in the head before the doors closed.
Verbal abuse and escalation
A 60-year-old passenger intervened, leading to a heated argument. Footage shows the attackers using xenophobic slurs, telling the man to leave for Ukraine before spitting on him as they exited the tram.
Physical altercation and injuries
The victim followed the group out of the tram, leading to a scuffle. A two-meter-tall attacker punched the man in the eye, causing injury. The victim subsequently experienced memory loss and required emergency medical attention.
Police investigation underway
Greater Poland police confirmed the assault, noting the victim was struck repeatedly in the head and face. Authorities are currently using monitoring footage to identify the suspects involved in the attack near Rondo Kaponiera.
