Drone Interceptions and Ballistic Missile Attacks
According to the Russian ministry of defense, between 20:00 on Tuesday and 08:00 on Wednesday, Moscow intercepted and destroyed 242 Ukrainian drones over 16 regions, including the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, occupied Crimea, and the Black and Azov Seas. On the same night, Russia targeted Ukraine with a ballistic missile, three guided missiles, and 216 unmanned aerial vehicles, with Ukrainians recording hits from the ballistic missile and 12 drones.
Wildberries Centers Targeted in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk
The Ukrainian attack targeted the Wildberries logistics center located in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk in the south of the European part of Russia. Social media footage showed large fires breaking out at both locations, while Tatiana Kim, CEO and co-owner of Russia’s largest sales platform, reported several injuries, followed by Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Kondratyev confirming one death.
Zelenskyy States Facilities Supplied Military Components
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the attacks, stating on Telegram that the logistics centers supplied the Russian army with drone and navigation components, and adding that a fuel depot was also hit, which Ukrainska Pravda identified as a facility in Armavir, Krasnodar Krai.
Previous Strikes and Putin’s Economic Assessment
This follows a previous attack on Wildberries on Saturday targeting warehouses in Kotovsk, Tambov Oblast, and Elektrostal, Moscow Oblast, which resulted in a total of eight deaths and over 60 injuries. On Wednesday, during an economic meeting, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin emphasized that external attempts are being made to destabilize the fuel, energy, and other economic sectors, while stressing that key branches of the Russian economy remain stable and difficulties in the fuel market are temporary.
Shadow Fleet Vessels Hit on Azov and Black Seas
Meanwhile, the Russian BBC service reported that the Ukrainian armed forces struck 13 vessels linked to the Russian shadow fleet in the Azov and Black Seas, including one tanker, ten bulk carriers, and two tugboats.
