Zelenskyy Praises Oval Office Meeting With Trump After White House Talks

Following a Tuesday meeting in the Oval Office, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Donald Trump for their joint efforts to protect Ukrainian lives and advance peace.

“Good meeting with President Trump in the Oval Office. Thank you for everything we are doing together to protect the lives of Ukrainians and promote peace,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on X after his Tuesday meeting with Donald Trump, where the leaders discussed several topics.

Condolences to Trump

The meeting took place on the day of mourning services dedicated to Senator Lindsey Graham and ahead of his funeral, prompting the Ukrainian president to offer condolences to Trump. “(Lindsey Graham) was a true friend of Ukraine,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

Patriot Missiles and Diplomacy

The politicians also discussed the issue of Patriot systems. “The President and I talked about a license to produce Patriot interceptor missiles and several other ideas that could help. We also talked about diplomacy – it is important that the diplomatic process be revived. Our teams will figure out the details of further communication. I am grateful to the United States for their strong support,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote.
