On Sunday, August 2, an accident occurred at the intersection of Toruńska and Brucknera streets in Wrocław, where a tram collided with a minibus.
A woman and a child were among those injured in the collision between the tram and the minibus.
Injuries Reported Among Passengers
Two minibus passengers were injured, including a woman who sustained serious injuries. Additional casualties included a woman and a child who were passengers on the tram, as stated by junior supervisor Aleksandra Freus, spokesperson for the Municipal Police Headquarters in Wrocław.
Traffic Disruptions and Route Diversions
Traffic difficulties remain at the scene of the accident. According to Onet, serious traffic disruptions occurred around the intersection following the collision.
The damaged tram blocked the tracks, causing traffic jams. Consequently, public transport routes were altered, with tram lines 8, 23, and 24, as well as bus lines D, 111, 116, and 151, operating on detours.
