Police Detain Two 16-Year-Olds After Operations
Kamienna G贸ra police determined that two 16-year-olds may be connected to the events through procedural and operational actions. Law enforcement located the minors and is currently conducting proceedings with them, according to a police statement released before 10 PM on Friday.
Stabbing Near the Reservoir During City Celebrations
The incident occurred on Friday, August 7, at around 8 PM on Ksi臋cia Bolka Street in Kamienna G贸ra, located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. TVP3 Wroc艂aw reported that the attacker wounded a 15-year-old with a sharp tool a few hundred meters from the reservoir hosting the Kamienna G贸ra Days celebrations. Radio Wroc艂aw confirmed that the perpetrator used a knife.
Victim Transported to Hospital in Critical Condition
The male victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition while a police manhunt for the perpetrator unfolded. Officers had not yet established the identity of the attacker at the time, and services urged residents to remain cautious, calm, and report any suspicious behavior.
Earlier Stabbing During a Social Gathering on August 3
A separate knife attack also took place in Kamienna G贸ra on Monday, August 3. Katarzyna Trzepak from the County Police Headquarters in Kamienna G贸ra announced in a statement that a perpetrator stabbed a 33-year-old man with a knife inside an apartment on Karola Miarki Street during a social gathering, with detectives later recovering the discarded knife.
Suspect Charged with Attempted Murder
The victim sustained life-threatening injuries to the abdomen area, receiving initial aid from police officers before being handed over to medical rescue teams and taken to the hospital. Police arrested the acquaintance of the attacked man, with the 30-year-old facing charges of attempted murder, making criminal threats, and causing bodily harm to a witness, which carries a potential sentence of life imprisonment after the Kamienna G贸ra District Court approved a three-month pretrial detention request from the prosecutor’s office.
