Family Reasons Cited for Departure
The US President cited family reasons as the motivation for the departure. He thanked her for her work and evaluated that she was one of the best spokespersons in history.
“Our wonderful White House Press Secretary, and one of my most trusted associates, Karoline Leavitt, will leave her position at the end of the month to be able to spend more time with her wonderful, small children and family. This is a decision that I fully understand and respect!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Future Role as External Advisor
He announced that Leavitt will be one of his most important external advisors and an influential voice in the Republican Party ahead of the congressional elections.
“We will strive to break the historical trend and achieve ultimate victory in the midterm elections,” he wrote.
Praise for Past Contributions
“Karoline was a true leader in the White House and since 2018 has done a phenomenal job fighting for justice and freedom. Also during our historic 2024 re-election campaign, Karoline was one of the best White House press secretaries in the history of this office,” the US president assessed.
