September Extra Pension Payout: Government Reveals Rates and Schedule for 2026

The Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy has published draft regulations for the 14th pension payout in September 2026, detailing maximum rates, eligibility thresholds, and automatic disbursement mechanisms.

When will the 2026 14th pension reach seniors?

Many beneficiaries wondered if the government would change the existing schedule, but the draft regulation dispels all doubts. The additional financial support will be launched in September 2026.

Importantly for older individuals, the entire process will take place without unnecessary bureaucracy. There is no need to fill out any forms, call offices, or submit online applications as ZUS, KRUS, and departmental pension institutions will calculate the amount independently and add the funds to the standard monthly transfer or postal delivery.

Maximum close to 2000 PLN gross: Who gets the full amount?

In 2026, the highest possible rate for the 14th pension has been set at 1,978.49 PLN gross, though this bonus will not go to everyone. The full transfer will be given exclusively to individuals whose basic benefit does not exceed 2,900 PLN gross.

For those with higher benefits, a traditional reduction mechanism known as the “1 PLN for 1 PLN” rule applies, where every zloty exceeding the 2,900 PLN limit reduces the value of the 14th pension. Individuals receiving 4,828.49 PLN gross or more per month will be completely cut off from the supplement, resulting in a 14th pension of zero.

The “1 PLN for 1 PLN” mechanism in practice means that the transfer amount changes with every income step. Specific calculations of gross amounts and estimated net amounts after deducting health contributions and tax apply to popular pension levels.

A long list of the excluded: These groups will not get a single grosz

The amount of monthly payouts is not the only criterion, as regulations clearly define groups that have no right to this benefit due to formal reasons. Those who cannot count on the September transfer must hold active entitlement to receive a pension or retirement benefit on the last day of the month preceding the payouts, which is August 31, 2026.
