Legia Warsaw vs. Radomiak Match and Armed Forces Day Preparations Bring Heavy Traffic Disruptions

Tonight at 8:30 PM, Legia Warsaw faces Radomiak Radom at Łazienkowska Street, coinciding with major traffic changes for Armed Forces Day preparations that will disrupt the capital’s roads.

Match Details and Traffic Restrictions

Today at 8:30 PM at the stadium located at 3 Łazienkowska Street in Warsaw, the 4th round match of the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa will take place between Legia Warsaw and Radomiak Radom. In connection with the match and the traffic organization changes introduced from 4:00 PM due to Armed Forces Day celebrations, increased traffic and temporary disruptions should be expected in the stadium area and on roads leading to the capital’s center. Capital police officers will watch over the safety of residents and fans, and we urge everyone to follow officers’ instructions. If you see a threat or disturbing situation, inform the services.

The meeting between Legia Warsaw and Radomiak Radom will begin at 8:30 PM at the stadium on Łazienkowska Street. Already before the start of the match in its vicinity and on the main communication routes leading to the stadium, increased traffic intensity must be expected.

Armed Forces Day Preparations

Additionally, starting at 4:00 PM in Warsaw, traffic organization changes will be in effect due to preparations for the Armed Forces Day celebrations and the military parade planned for August 15. Restrictions will include Wisłostrada and streets leading toward it, which may significantly impact access to the Legia stadium area.

Drivers should expect disruptions primarily in the area of Łazienkowska, Czerniakowska, Myśliwiecka, Rozbrat, and Solec streets, as well as in Armia Ludowa Avenue. Depending on the situation, police may temporarily halt traffic, direct vehicles to alternative routes, and take other actions necessary to ensure safety.

Police Recommendations and Security Measures

We appeal to drivers to exercise extreme caution and strictly follow the instructions of police officers directing traffic. For those going to the match, we recommend planning the journey in advance and, if possible, using public transport.

Capital police officers will be present both in the immediate vicinity of the stadium and along the routes taken by fans. Officers from the prevention division, road traffic unit, and criminal services will care for the safety of event participants, Warsaw residents, and people moving around this part of the city.

We remind you that safety also depends on our joint reaction. If you notice unattended luggage, a suspicious object, aggressive behavior, or another situation that may pose a threat, do not remain indifferent. Inform police officers or other services nearby. In a situation requiring immediate intervention, call the emergency number 112.
