Honda Driver Banned After Clocked at 167 km/h in Goworowo

A 34-year-old driver was caught by the Mazovian SPEED group on June 16, speeding at 167 km/h in a 90 km/h zone, resulting in a three-month license suspension and heavy fines.

Speeding Violation in Goworowo

Officers from the Mazovian SPEED group, operating out of the Ostrołęka Municipal Police, conducted a targeted enforcement action in the municipality of Goworowo on June 16. During their patrol, they identified a Honda traveling significantly above the permitted speed limit.

The driver, a 34-year-old resident of the Ostrów district, was recorded by an in-car video system traveling at 167 km/h in an area restricted to 90 km/h. He was carrying a passenger at the time of the stop.

Sanctions and Road Safety Policy

Due to the 77 km/h speed violation, the driver was issued a 2,500 PLN fine and received 15 penalty points. Additionally, his driving privileges were suspended for a period of three months.

The Mazovian SPEED group operates 24/7 to identify and penalize aggressive drivers. Authorities maintain a policy of zero tolerance, citing excessive speed as a primary cause of fatal traffic accidents and emphasizing their ongoing commitment to reducing casualties on the roads.
