New Deputy Defense Minister Appointed to Oversee Polish Military Procurement

Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka will be appointed as the new Deputy Minister of National Defense this Friday, taking direct responsibility for the modernization and armament of the Polish Armed Forces.

The government is shifting its focus toward female leadership, with Magdalena Sobkowiak-Czarnecka set to join the team of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. Her formal appointment is scheduled for Friday.

Previous Experience and Responsibilities

Sobkowiak-Czarnecka brings prior experience in defense-related matters to the role, having previously overseen the implementation of the EU’s SAFE program. She also served as a Deputy Minister for European Affairs.
