Serious Collision at Dmowski Roundabout: Motorcyclist Hospitalized

A motorcyclist was transported to the hospital following a serious collision with a Skoda passenger car at the Dmowski Roundabout in central Warsaw on June 19 at 5:41 PM.

Circumstances of the Collision

The accident occurred at the intersection of Aleje Jerozolimskie and Marszałkowska, near the Śródmieście railway station. The Skoda was traveling along Aleje Jerozolimskie from the direction of the Poniatowski Bridge toward Ochota, while the motorcyclist was riding along Marszałkowska from Plac Bankowy toward Plac Konstytucji.

Emergency Response and Traffic Disruption

Firefighters, medical rescue teams, and police were dispatched to the scene. Rescuers treated the motorcyclist on-site before transporting him to the hospital for further examination. Firefighters secured the area, which led to significant traffic congestion in the city center; two lanes of Aleje Jerozolimskie toward Ochota and two lanes of Marszałkowska toward Plac Konstytucji were blocked.

Investigation into the Cause

Police officers conducted a site documentation, recorded vehicle damage, and took measurements to determine the precise course of events. Preliminary findings suggest that the driver of the Skoda may have run a red light while exiting the roundabout, leading to the collision with the motorcycle. The exact circumstances are currently under investigation.
