Officers from the 艢roda 艢l膮ska County Police were dispatched to Mroz贸w in the Mi臋kinia municipality following reports of a man firing a weapon. Upon arrival, they encountered an aggressive 35-year-old individual.
Armed assault on duty
The suspect, who was intoxicated, brandished a black-powder firearm. According to the Lower Silesian Police, the situation escalated rapidly when the man aimed at the officers from a distance of approximately seven meters and pulled the trigger. The attacker was neutralized and detained shortly thereafter.
Attempted murder charges
The suspect is a resident of the 艢roda 艢l膮ska district with a prior criminal record. The prosecutor鈥檚 office has filed several charges against him, including attempted murder. A court has ordered his temporary arrest for a three-month period, and he faces a potential life sentence.
