A US pilot who ejected from an F-15 in April reported an unusual formation of Iranian drones resembling a “jellyfish,” triggering an intense intelligence investigation into potential advancements in Tehran’s military technology.

According to CNN, an F-15 pilot who was shot down in April testified that he spotted a cluster of Iranian drones moving in perfect synchronicity shortly before being hit. The drones were arranged in a formation that the pilot described as looking like a jellyfish.

US officials admitted they were previously unaware that Iran possessed such sophisticated aerial capabilities. One source familiar with the testimony described a “truly cosmic” scene of multiple drones connected to move as a single organism, with smaller units suspended beneath larger ones like limbs.
