Łukasz Jankowski, president of the Supreme Medical Council, confirmed that proceedings were initiated against the doctor-politician several days ago. The council is analyzing materials to file a motion with the Medical Court to suspend Kacprzyk’s license for the duration of the legal proceedings.
Jankowski stated that the allegations, which concern patient safety and health, transcend disciplinary issues and fall into the realm of criminal law. He has formally appealed to the prosecutor’s office to conduct a swift and thorough investigation.
Concerns Over Medical Oversight
Expressing personal dismay, Jankowski questioned how an inexperienced doctor was working in an Emergency Department without adequate support from senior colleagues. He cited reports of the doctor attempting procedures like intubation without requesting assistance from an anesthesiologist, labeling the situation as unimaginable.
