A six-year-old girl was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition after nearly drowning in the unsupervised Moczydło Lake in Karczew, Otwock County, during a late afternoon emergency on Tuesday.

Emergency Response in Karczew
Firefighters were alerted to the accident at 5:30 PM at the Moczydło Lake in Karczew. Two fire brigades, a medical rescue team, and an Air Ambulance (LPR) helicopter were dispatched to the scene.
Rescue and Resuscitation Efforts
Bystanders pulled the child from the water and began resuscitation efforts before emergency services arrived. Upon reaching the scene, firefighters confirmed the girl was approximately six years old.
Condition and Medical Evacuation
Emergency responders successfully restored the child’s vital signs on-site. She was subsequently transported by an LPR helicopter to a hospital for further treatment.
Circumstances of the Incident
Witness reports indicate the child had been swimming in the unsupervised area and was submerged for approximately five minutes before being recovered. Police are currently present at the scene to investigate the circumstances.
