The Incident in Mszana Dolna
A severe fire has broken out at a warehouse and service facility located on Orkana Street in Mszana Dolna, Limanowa County. Thick plumes of smoke are visible from several kilometers away as the fire has fully consumed the structure, which housed a vehicle diagnostic station.
Emergency Response and Public Safety
Firefighters from the Limanowa County Headquarters are on the scene with 20 fire engines engaged in the operation. Senior Captain Wojciech Bogacz has formally appealed to the public to stay indoors and keep windows shut to prevent the inhalation of hazardous fumes emanating from the blaze.
Casualties and Risk Mitigation
One person was injured during the evacuation process and received medical assistance at the scene, according to Captain Hubert Ciepły, spokesperson for the Małopolska Provincial Fire Service. Firefighting efforts are currently focused on both suppressing the flames and protecting adjacent structures, particularly a nearby carpentry workshop that faces a significant risk of fire spread.
