Another Construction Price Hike: PSB Group Reveals Fastest Rising Costs in 2026

Building and renovation costs are climbing across Poland as June brings a sharp acceleration in construction supply prices, with annual growth hitting 3.5 percent and insulation materials surging.

Acceleration in Construction Supply Prices

Building a house and carrying out renovations cost increasingly more, as June brought a clear acceleration in price growth at construction supply yards. According to the latest report from the Polish Construction Warehouses Group (Grupa PSB), the year-on-year pace of price increases reached 3.5 percent, and investors must prepare for particularly high expenses for key insulation materials. However, some positive signals have also appeared on the market, with certain product categories clearly falling in price.

The first half of 2026 was characterized by a moderate increase in the cost of construction materials. The general price level increased by 1.1 percent during this period, while in June alone the dynamic was somewhat higher at 3.5 percent year-on-year, according to Grupa PSB.

Wood, OSB Panels, and Insulation Lead the Rises

According to the announcement, the largest price increases in the first half of the year affected OSB panels and wood, which became 11 percent more expensive, as well as thermal insulation materials, which cost 5 percent more year-on-year.

In June alone, the prices of thermal and waterproof insulation grew the most, increasing by 14 and 10 percent respectively.

Price Drops in Construction Supplies

Conversely, price reductions were recorded in several product groups, including finishing materials, equipment and household appliances, and cement and lime, which dropped by about 2 percent.
