Brutal Assault on Rideshare Driver in Warsaw’s Bródno District

A 44-year-old rideshare driver was hospitalized following a violent attack with a glass bottle on Wysockiego Street in Warsaw’s Bródno district during a dispute with passengers.

On the afternoon of the incident, a 44-year-old Ukrainian national operating a Toyota via a rideshare application was brutally attacked while dropping off passengers at a residential building on Wysockiego Street.

Escalation of the dispute

Witnesses reported that the female passengers appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. A disagreement followed the ride, which escalated when a 36-year-old man, an acquaintance of the passengers, emerged from a nearby apartment and confronted the driver.

Physical assault and medical intervention

The 36-year-old suspect allegedly struck the driver with a beer bottle, causing a severe head injury. Emergency responders and police arrived at the scene; the victim was conscious but required immediate transport to a hospital. Bloodstains, glass fragments, and medical dressings remained at the site.
