Cloud Cover and Weather Forecast for August 12 and 13

As a high-pressure system shapes Poland’s weather, meteorologists outline the temperature shifts, cloud conditions, and regional forecasts for August 12 and 13.

High-Pressure System and Cooler Air

The country’s weather situation is being shaped by a high-pressure system that also covers a large part of Europe, with one center over Poland and another over Denmark. At the same time, cooler maritime polar air is reaching us, meaning Wednesday will not yet bring the high temperatures characteristic of hot summer, with the biggest change coming only on Thursday.

Weather in Poland on August 12 will be calm with localized rain. Residents of the southern and western parts of the country can expect a small number of clouds in the sky, while further north and east there may be less sun, along with a possible short, weak rain in the far northeast.

Temperatures and Wind Conditions on August 12

On August 12, the warmest places will be in the center, west, and south, reaching up to 24 degrees Celsius, while thermometers by the sea and in foothill regions will show about 18 degrees Celsius. Strong wind should not be a problem in most of Poland, blowing stronger only in the north, while gusts by the sea will be moderate.

Cold Night and Morning Fog

The night from Wednesday to Thursday will bring chill, with thermometers showing only 6 degrees. In the evening, clouds will disappear almost completely in many places, though the north of the country will remain partly cloudy alongside a distinct cooling.

In the northeast and foothill regions, the morning may see only 6 or 7 degrees Celsius, while the west and coast remain warmer with values reaching up to 12 or 13 degrees Celsius. Nighttime wind is expected to be weak, but fog in the northwest may reduce visibility to up to 500 meters, worsening road conditions despite a lack of heavy precipitation.

Warming Trend on August 13

Warming will arrive on August 13, bringing 27 degrees to the southwest. August 13 looks particularly favorable for western Poland, where clouds are expected to practically disappear, while other regions may experience periodic sun obstruction without heavy cloud cover.

The highest value of 27 degrees Celsius will be recorded in the southwest, while the sea and northeast will see about 19 degrees Celsius. The south can expect about 25 degrees Celsius, marking a clear temperature increase compared to Wednesday, accompanied by a weak to moderate wind shifting to flow from the east.
