Starting Monday, July 13, the Emilii Plater intersection in Warsaw will be closed for tram track renovations, triggering route changes for multiple bus lines and finalizing recent infrastructure upgrades.

Ongoing Infrastructure Upgrades
Another intersection in Aleje Jerozolimskie will soon feature a smooth, renovated tram crossing. Following work at the Czterdziestolatka and Dmowskiego roundabouts and near Krucza Street, crews will conclude operations at Rondo de Gaulle’a on the night of July 12 before moving to Emilii Plater.
Tram traffic has been suspended between Plac Starynkiewicza and Rondo Waszyngtona since late May to facilitate these extensive track repairs.
Scope of the Emilii Plater Project
The work at Emilii Plater is more extensive than previous locations. In addition to track replacement and new asphalt, crews will repair the underground passageway insulation.
To expedite the process, workers will utilize large-scale prefabricated slabs sourced from Kraków, a method successfully implemented during last year’s project at Plac Zawiszy.
Traffic and Transit Adjustments
The intersection will be closed to vehicle traffic starting the night of July 12, with reopening expected before the end of July. Bus lines 117, 131, 507, 520, 521, 525, and various night buses departing from Dworzec Centralny will be rerouted, with only line 521 maintaining a turn onto Emilii Plater.
