A man in his sixties died on the spot late Saturday evening after losing his balance on the platform and falling under a passenger train at the Tłuszcz railway station.
Tragic Accident at the Station
On Saturday, August 1, late in the evening, a fatal accident occurred at the PKP railway station in Tłuszcz. A man aged approximately 60 lost his balance, fell from the platform onto the tracks, and was struck by a passenger train, dying on the spot.
Emergency services received the report of the incident at around 22:40. Preliminary police findings indicate that the man standing on the platform lost his balance and fell directly under the moving Tłuszcz–Ostrołęka train, sustaining fatal injuries.
Emergency Response and Investigation
Medical rescue teams, police officers, Railway Security Guard personnel, and firefighters from the State Fire Service Rescue and Firefighting Unit in Tłuszcz and the Tłuszcz Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the scene.
Police officers worked at the site under the supervision of a prosecutor. They secured evidence, including station CCTV footage, and conducted necessary procedures to determine the exact course and all circumstances of the fatal accident.
