Fisherman’s Body Found on Vistula Riverbank in Łomianki

Emergency services recovered the body of a man partially in the water along the Vistula River in Łomianki on Monday afternoon, prompting an ongoing police and prosecutorial investigation.

Discovery of the Body

In the afternoon, emergency services were alerted to a man’s body located near the bank of the Vistula River in Łomianki, within the West Warsaw County. The remains lay partially in the water and partially on the stones along the shoreline.

Response of Emergency Services

The fire department and police were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival and an assessment of the man’s condition, it was determined that it was too late to provide aid, and a physician confirmed his death.

Police and Prosecutor Investigation

The area was secured to restrict access by unauthorized persons. Police officers, acting under the supervision of a prosecutor, conducted an inspection of the site where the body was discovered and secured traces that could help clarify the course of events.
