Five Hospitalized After Police Vehicle Collision in Kozice

A collision between a police cruiser and a passenger car in Kozice on Thursday morning resulted in five hospitalizations, requiring the deployment of an air ambulance to transport the injured.

On Thursday, July 9, at approximately 11:30 AM, a marked police vehicle and a Peugeot passenger car collided in the village of Kozice, located in the Garwolin district. Five individuals were hospitalized, including two police officers, a Territorial Defence Force soldier, a Railway Security Guard, and the female driver of the Peugeot.

Emergency response efforts included the deployment of a helicopter from the Medical Air Rescue (LPR) service to transport one of the more seriously injured passengers.

Preliminary Investigation into Causes

Initial findings from the Garwolin County Police suggest the police vehicle was traveling on a priority road when the driver of the Peugeot pulled out from a secondary road. Authorities have confirmed that all drivers involved were sober at the time of the incident.

Police are continuing their investigation into the exact causes and circumstances of the accident. Officials stated that these findings remain preliminary as on-site emergency teams secured the area for further analysis.
