A motorcyclist was airlifted to the hospital following an accident on Voivodeship Road 631 in Marki this morning, where police determined both the driver and the biker share responsibility for the incident.

Illegal Maneuver and Emergency Braking

The incident occurred this morning on Voivodeship Road 631 in Marki, Wołomin County. A driver in a Fiat 500 attempted a U-turn in a restricted area, violating the B-23 “no U-turn” traffic sign.

At the same time, a motorcyclist riding a Suzuki approached from the opposite direction. Upon seeing the car, the motorcyclist braked sharply, lost control of the vehicle, and tumbled across the road. The two vehicles did not make physical contact.

Emergency Response and Medical Evacuation

Emergency services, including police, firefighters, and two medical rescue teams, responded immediately to the scene. The injured motorcyclist received initial medical attention before being transported to a hospital via the “Ratownik 12” air ambulance.

Investigation and Findings

Police confirmed that both individuals possessed valid driving licenses and sobriety tests returned negative results. Following a thorough investigation of the circumstances, authorities ruled that both parties are at fault for creating a traffic hazard.
