Jan Tokarski has taken over as the leader of PwC CEE Tax, Legal, and People, overseeing operations across more than 20 countries with a team of over 3,000 specialists.

Regional Leadership and Scope

Jan Tokarski has assumed the role of leader for PwC CEE Tax, Legal, and People, succeeding Jan Wacławek. He is responsible for directing tax, legal, and HR advisory services across more than 20 countries in the region, managing a practice that includes over 80 partners and 3,000 specialists focused on local and cross-border projects.

Strategic Development and Service Expansion

In his new capacity, Tokarski will prioritize fostering regional cooperation, strengthening local market presence, and expanding collective regional competencies. His focus includes advancing managed services and tax tech transformation, both of which are increasingly critical to the operational success of modern organizations.

Modern firms operating across multiple jurisdictions now require consistent standards and efficient implementation rather than just expert advice. The regional advisory market is currently shaped by rising regulatory complexity and the need for greater operational efficiency through automation and data-driven modernizations.

Management Changes and Regional Presence

As of July 1, the board for the Central and Eastern European region—encompassing 27 countries—includes six Polish members alongside Tokarski. This group includes Mariusz Chudy, Małgorzata Górna, Sławek Krempa, and Piotr Nogajczyk, with the board led by Agnieszka Gajewska. PwC CEE remains part of a global network employing over 13,000 experts in the region, with Polish operations alone accounting for more than 7,000 employees.
