Multi-Vehicle Crash on Warsaw’s S2 Route Spawns Major Delays and Air Ambulance Response

At 3:35 PM on the S2 route near Paluch in Warsaw, a three-vehicle collision involving a six-month-old infant triggered a massive emergency response and total traffic standstill.

At 3:35 PM on the S2 route, near the Paluch district in Warsaw, a serious traffic incident occurred involving three vehicles.

Preliminary findings indicate that the female driver of a Peugeot, while merging from the slip road, clipped a lawfully moving truck and subsequently collided with an Opel passenger car. As a result of the impact, one of the vehicles crashed into the cable barriers separating the carriageways.

Infant Involved and Emergency Response

One of the vehicles was carrying a six-month-old baby. Due to the infant’s age, a medical rescue team, the fire department, and a “Ratownik 12” Air Ambulance (LPR) helicopter were dispatched to the scene.

Fortunately, after medical examination, it was determined that the child sustained no injuries and did not require hospital transport. The LPR helicopter departed from the scene without a patient, and the other participants in the collision likewise required no hospitalization.

Traffic Disruptions and Police Investigation

For the duration of the emergency operations, traffic on the S2 route towards Wawer was completely halted, leaving three lanes blocked and causing heavy congestion and major delays for drivers.

All drivers involved were sober and possessed the required driving credentials. The exact causes and circumstances of the incident are currently being investigated by officers from the capital city’s road traffic department.
