Police Bonuses Confirmed for July 20

The National Police Headquarters has announced that police officers and civilian staff will receive special bonuses on July 20, 2026, though unions remain dissatisfied with broader working conditions and unresolved benefits.

Bonus Payouts Scheduled for July

The National Police Commander has finalized a decision to distribute special bonuses ahead of Police Day. Calculated based on employment status as of June 1, 2026, the awards amount to 1,500 PLN per police position and 1,200 PLN per civilian staff position.

These figures serve as the basis for the fund, but final individual awards will be determined by unit supervisors. Beyond the National Police Headquarters allocation, regional commands and training schools retain the authority to issue additional rewards from their own discretionary funds.

Union Demands Persist Beyond Bonuses

The July payouts have not silenced union calls for structural reform. The Police Trade Union continues to advocate for higher clothing allowances, a minimum service supplement, increased compensation for outdoor duties, and new anniversary awards for 45 years of service.

Additional unresolved demands include revisions to the rules governing regenerative meals and an increase in the second tax threshold. Unions emphasize that while the bonuses are a positive signal, they do not resolve core grievances regarding pay and working conditions.

Stalled Negotiations on the Uniformed Family Charter

Talks regarding the Uniformed Family Charter remain at a standstill. The program, which aims to provide railway travel discounts, cheaper passports, and priority access to services, is currently delayed.

The Ministry of the Interior and Administration and the Ministry of National Defense have yet to reach an agreement on the scope of the program and which groups should be eligible for these new benefits.
