A high-performance police Mustang, recently integrated into the Radom traffic division, was totaled in a collision near Zakrzew on Thursday while the officer was responding to a call with sirens active.
A Short-Lived Patrol Vehicle
The Mustang joined the Radom traffic police fleet in March. It first made headlines in April 2025 when a 39-year-old intoxicated driver from Warsaw crashed it into a roadside ditch.
Following a ruling by the District Court in Ciechanów in September 2025, the vehicle was officially forfeited to the police department.
The Collision Details
The police duty officer received a report of an accident involving the police Mustang and a Volkswagen on Thursday at 12:30 PM. Both vehicles were traveling from Radom toward Zakrzew.
The police car was operating with emergency signals engaged when it attempted to overtake traffic. The collision occurred as the driver of the Volkswagen began a left-hand turn.
Outcome of the Accident
The impact forced the police cruiser into a private fence and sent the Volkswagen into a ditch. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were sustained by anyone involved in the incident.
The female driver of the Volkswagen was issued a 2,000 PLN fine and received ten penalty points for her role in the collision.
