A 34-year-old Ukrainian national operating a rideshare service in Warsaw’s Targówek district has been charged with a criminal offense after police discovered he was driving despite having his license revoked.

Traffic Stop Reveals License Revocation
Officers from the Targówek police station stopped a Toyota driver providing rideshare services on Turmoncka Street after he committed a traffic violation. A check of police records revealed that his driving privileges had been formally revoked by the Mayor of Warsaw in May of this year.
Criminal Charges and Vehicle Impoundment
The 34-year-old was detained and his vehicle was towed to a secure lot. Police seized cash found in his possession toward potential future fines and issued a penalty for the initial traffic violation. An investigator later charged him with failing to comply with the license revocation order, an offense punishable by up to two years in prison.
Legal Proceedings Ahead
The case is now being handled by the Warsaw-Praga North District Prosecutor’s Office. A court will determine the final sentence for the defendant, as local authorities continue their efforts to maintain road safety through active traffic enforcement.
