Suspect Arrested in Biała Podlaska Assassination of Russian National

Polish authorities have apprehended a suspect carrying a Georgian passport following the fatal shooting of 44-year-old Robert K., known as Siemion Skrepecki, in a public area of Biała Podlaska last Monday.

On Monday at approximately 9:30 AM, 44-year-old Robert K., known in media circles as Siemion Skrepecki, was assassinated on a sidewalk in a residential district of Biała Podlaska, Lublin Province.

An unidentified assailant approached the victim and fired two shots from a handgun. After the victim fell, the attacker stepped closer and discharged an additional three shots at close range. Forensic examination revealed seven total gunshot wounds to the head, chest, and back, consisting of five entry and two exit wounds.

Investigation and Premier’s Statement

On Thursday, June 18, Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced via the X platform that a suspect had been detained by Lublin police and officers from the Internal Security Agency.

The Prime Minister noted that the individual was in possession of a Georgian passport. Authorities are currently working to identify the party behind the assassination order. Further updates are expected as the investigation continues.
