Firefighting Operations Underway
Over 20 fire brigades are currently battling multiple ignition points along the railway line, stretching from Mienia eastward to the district boundary. Capt. Piotr Jałocha of the Mińsk Mazowiecki fire department confirmed that while there is no immediate threat to buildings, the intensity of the fires required a complete halt to rail traffic.
Scope of Rail Disruptions
The County Crisis Management Center in Mińsk Mazowiecki reported that the fire has impacted the Grodzisk to Wiciejów section, causing significant delays and service cancellations. Warsaw Public Transport (WTP) has announced that from 17:10, Koleje Mazowieckie tickets will be honored within the first and second fare zones to assist affected passengers.
Cancellations and Service Adjustments
Koleje Mazowieckie has confirmed extensive service disruptions, including the full or partial cancellation of numerous routes connecting Dęblin, Grodzisk Mazowiecki, Warsaw, and Siedlce. Passengers are advised to consult the operator’s website for information regarding available substitute transport options as authorities continue to manage the incident.
