A 45-year-old truck driver collided with two stationary cars on National Road 61 in Strzyże on Friday morning, sending one person to the hospital and causing hours of traffic delays.

In the town of Strzyże in the municipality of Pokrzywnica, a collision occurred involving two passenger cars and a truck on National Road 61. One person was transported to the hospital, and police determined that the 45-year-old driver of a Renault truck was at fault and issued him a fine.

The incident took place on Friday, August 7, after 6:00 AM on DK61 in Strzyże, located in Pułtusk County. Road construction work for a bypass is ongoing in this section, and traffic is directed by authorized personnel.

Sequence of the Multi-Vehicle Crash

A 61-year-old female resident of Maków County, driving an Opel, stopped her car as instructed by a traffic controller. Behind her, a Nissan driven by a 43-year-old resident of Serock also came to a halt. The Nissan driver suddenly felt an impact from behind, which pushed her vehicle into the Opel ahead of it.

Police established that a Renault truck driven by a 45-year-old citizen of Kazakhstan struck the rear of the Nissan. The force of the crash pushed the Opel off the road into a ditch, while the Nissan ended up on the opposite lane. The female driver of the Nissan sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital.

All drivers involved in the incident were sober, and the truck driver was deemed responsible for the collision, receiving a fine from police officers. Traffic disruptions on DK61 persisted for several hours until emergency services completed their work and cleared the scene.
