Two 14-Year-Olds Break Into Workshop and Leave Insolent Note

Police in Strzyżów identified two 14-year-olds who broke into a local car workshop over the weekend, stealing promotional materials and leaving behind a taunting message for the owner.

The Break-in at Strzyżów

Authorities received a report regarding a burglary at a car workshop in Strzyżów on Saturday morning. Investigations revealed that the incident occurred between Friday and Saturday night.

According to the Strzyżów District Police, unknown perpetrators smashed a window to gain entry, subsequently stealing promotional materials from a vehicle being serviced at the facility.

An Audacious Note Left Behind

During the site investigation, officers discovered a handwritten note left by the intruders that read: “Good morning, we only came here to look around and while we were at it, we cleaned up.”

Police identified the perpetrators as two 14-year-olds from the Strzyżów district. Stolen items were recovered during searches of their homes, and the case has been referred to the Family and Juvenile Court in Strzyżów.

History of Mocking Crimes

A similar incident occurred in Rzeszów in November 2019, when a thief stole a television from an apartment and wrote “The apartment is mine, thanks a lot” on the wall.

The investigation into that burglary progressed after police discovered an ID card under a bed belonging to a man who had been released from prison just days earlier.
