Late Night Accident Near Chopin Airport
On Friday, June 19, shortly after 10:00 PM, two Chevrolet passenger cars collided at a major intersection near Warsaw Chopin Airport. A combustion-engine vehicle traveling toward the city center collided with an electric Chevrolet bearing Belarusian license plates that was moving from Aleja Krakowska toward Cybernetyki Street.
Emergency Response and Medical Care
Witnesses provided initial assistance before firefighters and paramedics took charge of the scene. Although three individuals were initially assessed, two were cleared on-site, while one occupant from the combustion vehicle was transported to the hospital.
Police Investigation and Scene Management
Officers from the Traffic Department conducted an investigation, documenting the scene with measurements and photographs to determine the exact cause of the crash. During the operation, firefighters also extinguished a fire in a nearby concrete trash container.
Impact on Local Traffic
The rescue and police operations caused significant traffic obstructions. The passage on Komitetu Obrony Robotników toward Cybernetyki and three lanes on Żwirki i Wigury heading toward the city center were temporarily blocked.
